I am a Ph.D. candidate in Professor Doug Gin’s research group at the University of Colorado Boulder. Broadly, my research areas include organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, organocatalysis, and molecular self-assembly.  My current project focuses on the design and synthesis of nanostructured liquid crystal polymers for heterogeneous alcohol oxidation catalysis.

Prior to starting graduate school at CU, I completed a B.A. in Chemistry at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. There, I did research under the supervision of Professor Mark Juhasz on the synthesis of new derivatives of boron clusters, which have applications in medicine and advanced materials.

In my free time, I enjoy running, riding bicycles, playing tennis, cooking, and brewing beer.
